Apartment building ventilation cleaning
The shared vent shafts of an apartment building are managed by the apartment association (KÜ), so the association orders their cleaning. We clean the shared shafts and the air valves in the apartments, and give you a report of the completed work.
Shared ventilation
How ventilation works in an apartment building
In older apartment buildings, the extract vents in kitchens, bathrooms and toilets connect to vertical shafts that carry the air up to the roof. In newer and renovated buildings, roof fans extract the air, or each apartment has its own ventilation unit.
If a shared shaft is dusty or blocked, extraction can weaken in several apartments at once: bathrooms stay damp and windows steam up.

How it works
Cleaning an apartment building, step by step
- 01
Request
Tell us how many floors and apartments the building has and what kind of ventilation it uses. You can attach floor plans or the ventilation design.
- 02
Price and time
We work out the price and give it to you before we start, then agree on a convenient time.
- 03
Residents
Let residents know in good time, so we can reach the valves in their apartments if needed.
- 04

We clean the ducts and valves, tidy up after ourselves and give you a report of the completed work.

Questions about apartment building ventilation
Who should order cleaning of the shared shafts?
The shared shafts and roof fans are managed by the apartment association, so the association orders their cleaning. Owners can order cleaning of the valves, ducts and unit inside their own apartment themselves.
How often should an apartment building’s ventilation be cleaned?
A common rule of thumb is to clean the ducts roughly every 5–10 years, depending on their condition. If residents complain about weak extraction, damp or smells, it’s best not to wait.
Does the association get a document for the work?
Yes. After the job we give you a report of the completed work and invoice the association.
