Apartment ventilation cleaning
If the bathroom stays damp, the windows steam up or there’s a dark ring of dust around a valve, it’s time to check the ventilation. We clean ventilation in apartments in both older and newer buildings.
Your ventilation type
Apartments have three types of ventilation
Natural ventilation. In older apartment blocks, air usually moves without a fan: the extract vents in the kitchen, bathroom and toilet are connected to vertical shafts that carry the air up to the roof. If a shaft is dusty or blocked, the draught weakens and moisture stays in the apartment.
Mechanical extract. A fan pulls the air out — either one in the apartment or a shared fan on the roof. Fresh air comes in through the windows or through fresh-air vents in the wall.
Apartment heat recovery ventilation. In many new and renovated buildings, each apartment has its own ventilation unit that supplies filtered fresh air and warms it with heat from the outgoing air. These systems have both supply and extract ducts, plus filters that need regular replacement.
What we do
What we clean in an apartment
- Extract and supply valves in the kitchen, bathroom, toilet and rooms
- The apartment’s ventilation ducts
- The apartment’s own ventilation unit: fans and heat exchanger
- Filter replacement
- The cooker hood duct
The building’s shared vertical shafts and roof fans are managed by the apartment association (KÜ), so the association orders their cleaning. We also work for apartment associations.

- 04
Tidy-up
We tidy up after ourselves and give you a certificate of completed work.

Questions about apartment ventilation
Do I need the apartment association’s permission?
You usually don’t need permission to clean your own apartment’s valves, ducts and unit. The building’s shared shafts and roof fans, however, are managed by the association, and their cleaning has to be agreed with it.
